What is ARC Value Village?
Arc’s Value Village is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization supporting people with disabilities through The Arc Minnesota. Our store closures have reduced revenue while our recycling/trash removal fees have increased due to the surge of donations in 2020.
What donations does Arc take?
The Arc accepts a variety of donations including clothing donations, household items donations, and even jewelry donations. Because each chapter accepts different donation items, please contact the charity in your area for more information on items they do not accept.
What items will arc not take?
Schedule Donation Pickup We do not accept large furniture (couches, loveseats, beds, dressers, etc.) or built-in appliances or large TVs (flat screens are ok). Please make sure all items are boxed or bagged. Thank you for supporting The Arc Foundation.
Why does goodwill have a bad reputation?
GOODWILL’S REPUTATION as a charitable organization was sullied in 2013 when reports emerged that it was exploiting an arcane loophole in labor law to pay thousands of disabled workers pennies per hour. At the same time, Goodwill was paying its top executives $53.7 million in compensation.
