What is a Ledgedash?
Often, players follow the double-jump with an air dodge or attack; they can also grab the ledge, using their invincibility frames to ledgestall, or, in Melee, waveland on-stage, which is known as a ledgedash (shown right).
How do you do a Hax dash?
To do a single Hax-Dash: Release the Ledge, jump while drifting in towards the stage, Waveland backwards towards the Ledge, Fast Fall and Re-Grab the Ledge. This process can be repeated any number of times, but unless you are perfect with your inputs there will be at least one frame during which Marth is vulnerable.
What is a tournament winner?
That’s why the jump off the ledge is called a “tournament winner.” A player is usually trying to go for waveland on stage or a ledge drop to aerial, but they press down before it can be registered (due to nerves/choking/whatever).
What is SDI melee?
Smash directional influence (commonly shortened to Smash DI or SDI, and officially known as Hitstun Shuffling since Super Smash Bros. 4) is a mechanic that allows players to slightly alter their position during hitlag from being hit by an attack.
What is Haxdash?
A Haxdash is a ledgedash back towards the stage while retaining invincibility the whole time. However, whenever Hax dashes, regardless of it being forwards or backwards, it is still called a Haxdash because it is Hax in the act of dashing.
How do you get up from ledge SSBU?
Ledge recovery
- Climb: By pushing the Control Stick towards the ledge, the character will simply climb up onto the stage with no flair.
- Attack: By pressing an attack button, the character will climb up onto the stage while attacking.
How do you get a neutral SSBU?
Get up: Pressing up on the Control Stick or shielding causes a character to simply stand up. The character will also automatically stand up in a few seconds if the player doesn’t get up, roll, or attack on their own.
